Earlier this week CPT Cahill, my boss for some 14 months, was killed in action. He leaves behind his wife and daughters, and a number of officers, NCOs and soldiers that knew and respected him. He was a good man, and one hell of an officer.
Edit to add: In Audie Murphy’s Boots – another article about CPT Cahill.

There are no words to express my sadness for CPT Hill, his family, friends and comrades-only tears.
May God Continue to Place his Veil of Protection around all our soldiers.
Love,
Mom
Anthony, I feel for you and my thoughts are still of your safety. Remember to keep your head down. Regards, Richard
I’m so sorry to hear of CPT Hill’s death. I’ll pray for his loved ones.
I’ll keep praying for your safety too, Anthony.
I am very sorry for the death of this American warrior. May you join the vanguard of Michael the Archangel.
I am truly sorry.
But I have one question, why would you want to go to war?
I am really curious of what American people believe in, and what does really this war mean to them… hope you read this

Luca,
I thank you for your expressed sorrow, though it can not match that of the men that served with CPT Cahill. As this post was meant in his honor, I will not further your ill phrased and poorly thought out anti-war drivel. If you wish to e-mail me and start a discussion based in reality, feel free.
Regards,
SPC Martinez.
