Short little ride – at speed

Today a friend of mine from my battalion came by and we went for a ride, right after I finished up on the truck. Rain cut the ride short, but I was able to get a feel for my suspension work leaned over at speed. Parts of my tires that have never touched the pavement were scrubbed in today, the bike begs to be leaned further, and pushed harder than it ever has before – and it feels twice as stable doing it. Money well spent indeed.
Well Dad and I went for a long ride without the hampering of rain but the Texas heat beat down at a cool 95 degrees. Oh did I say that Dad reported the high of 90 degrees!! Hmmmm better get a better forecaster. Anyway our ride to the Pie Run in Conroe was nice. The ride to Beaumont was HOT and the from Lumberton to Katy was nice and cool at 10:30 at night with heat lightning coming off the Gulf. Did I mention that we got to ride with Poppa Doc and Nanna? Fun but TOO HOT!
Love,
Mom – see ya Friday!!
