Austin City Limits 2009

Yeah, I know I’m late. Better late than never though. Slideshow below. I only took my camera to the final day of ACL. The weather was less than optimal for enjoying the weekend, and I probably will not be paying for ACL tickets again in the future. Lackluster lineups combine with the inability of Austin to really support the kind of crowd the festival draws to leave me rather disinterested in going again.

That said, Dave Matthews put on a hell of a show, as did Pearl Jam. It is well known that I will do stupid things to see either of those groups live. The end.

In the works

I’ve not forgotten that I have a blog, nor have I run out of things to say. School has been keeping me busy. My first chemistry exam did not go well. I’m working to make sure that doesn’t happen again. Calculus, on the other hand, went perfectly. The two balance each other out. For a mechanical engineering major, I’d say calculus is infinitely more important than chemistry anyway. I know at least two mechanical engineers that would probably agree with that statement. One helped us land on the moon.

Anyhow, here are a few things I’ll post in the coming days/weeks:

  • My experience with the current Post-9/11 GI Bill debacle.
  • A photo slideshow from a wedding I worked a few weeks ago.
  • A few words about Austin City Limits 2009.
  • Another veteran-related issue about 26 Alaskan WWII veterans the White House has decided to throw under the bus in their final years (this one really pisses me off, fwiw).
